My coaching philosophy is to support and cultivate your Full Health, Life, and Performance.

In our chronically stressed and over-trained society, smart training and even better recovery is more essential than ever to continually improved performance now, as well as quality of health and life 5, 15 or 50 years later.

As a holistic coach, I strive to take into account the full-picture of you as a person— every physical, mental and emotional stress, in-depth health history questionnaire, work schedule, lab testing, metabolic rate, movement analysis, personality, etc.

From there, I put to work my lifetime of experience as a health & fitness coach and educator; all of my formal education and the most up-to-date research, as well as studying centuries of global health and performance knowledge. I never stop educating myself, in order to tailor a program that will truly meet you where you’re at, and most efficiently support you in reaching your Full performance potential, without sacrificing your Full Health and Life.

Running Technique / Gait / Efficiency Video Analysis (and/or In-Person)

Includes Analysis and Assessment of:

  • Weight and Force distribution

  • Center of Gravity

  • Tension and relaxation,

  • Horizontal Rotation and Vertical Oscillation

  • Posture

  • Gait (cadence, foot plant, stride, pace, etc)

  • Heart Rate and Breathing patterns

  • Unnecessary and inefficient energy drains in form

  • Likewise, unsustainable and unnecessary areas of tension, force, trauma and generation of inflammation (thereby, further nutrient and energy draining, inefficient, and increasing the likelihood for extended recovery at best, and risk of injury most assuredly).

Whether in-person or across the globe, this always includes slow motion and still footage. The footage is then clearly illustrated with detailed written and/or audio annotation to accompany so that you can see for yourself what can be improved on while it is explained. I can shoot this for you in-person and give immediate feedback, or you can send me video from anywhere in the world based on the specifications I request.

Then What?

  • Includes customized training tips, tools and resources that meet you where you are, and get you started toward your full potential for natural human performance.

    • Warm-ups and drills for correcting technique and retraining inefficient movement patterns

    • Additional video resources to reference for what it "should" look like.

    • Helpful visualizations, analogies, and other cues to feel, understand and "get it."

    • Supplemental training suggestions outside of running and the gym to more rapidly and holistically improve.

    • Suggested initial training parameters based on where you're at, and where you want to be-- including frequency, duration, heart rate (intensity), breathing, pace, etc.

Athlete Coaching

*Training to be executed by athlete on own time unless additional In-person training sessions are purchased.

  • Monthly Custom Programming based on your individual needs, provided through the top endurance coaching platform, Training Peaks.

  • In-person and/or in-depth video analysis of running technique and movement patterns (included 1st month w/ a 3-month commitment, then included quarterly)

  • High-Touch Coaching: Coaching is relationship to me, not just a transaction. Questions come up, life happens, adjustments need made on the fly. For that reason I encouraged my athletes to email, text or use Training Peaks to reach out any time and I’ll respond ASAP. Likewise, I pay attention to how your training is going on a weekly basis, and it’s not uncommon that I’ll reach out as well, even if it’s just to tell you how awesome you are!

  • Individualized Heart Rate based training

  • Optimal Rest, Recovery, Nutrition & Supplement guidelines and tips

  • Goal-setting and race planning/strategizing, choosing gear, etc

  • Phone/Skype session up to 2x a month

Tired of just exercising and training with no clear direction or map to achieve your goals? Have an event coming up that you want to crush and want to feel confident your training is targeted specifically for you to do just that? Want to take your athletic performance to a new level, without sacrificing full, lasting health and risking injury, overtraining, or burnout?

Whether it's 6 or 12 weeks out, after an initial in-depth interview and questionnaire, I will build you a targeted training program specific to where you are and where you want to be, to optimize the quality of the work put-in to achieve optimal results and performance potential outcome within the given time. 

That said, these are just one-time custom training programs with no additional coaching included, and meant to be executed by the athlete on own time/location. They can-- and for best results are suggested to-- be paired as need with in-person and/or phone/skype training session, optimal recovery tips, as well as full health and nutrition consulting.
